1960s classic: Puma Roma 68 OG trainers reissued

Just 50 plus years on, the Puma Roma 68 OG trainers are back in the shops within their original form.

A 50th-anniversary edition no less, although somewhat late to the party in 2022. Not that I'm complaining. I'm just glad that they are here.

The Puma Roma, because the title suggests, goes back to 1968, created to honour the nation's Italian football team for winning the European Cup for the reason that year. Many variants from the shoe have followed since and when you go directly to Puma, you can see a number of those on the market right now. But the Puma Roma 68 OG is the original and still the very best.

The colour chosen with this reissue is described as 'whisper white and blue yonder', which looks in my experience to become an off-white for the leather upper and a light blue for the formstrip and also the detail on the sole.

The formstrip consists of suede, using the shoe also featuring an archival tongue patch, EVA midsole, a gum rubber outsole and the Roma branding aside.
All the main sizes available, with the price for a pair at lb79.
