A small throwback design, the Adidas Gazelle Vintage trainers derive from a 1980s original and obtainable in two colours.

That's unusual because Adidas has based pretty much every Gazelle design on the 1991 shape for the last couple of years. So a significant departure for that label. Is that this going to be a lasting thing? I honestly have no idea. I presume this will depend how well these shift.

The inspiration for that shoe you see this is actually the design that appeared on the shelves and on feet back in 1983 and 1984. Shame we can't have a 1960s shoe, but I'll go with this one because it does look impressive.

It is still a Gazelle. Unmistakably so. This can be a shoe that has been around for well over 50 years and even though it's changed in terms of the detail and often the form, you do know what you are receiving.

The difference here, colour aside, has become the tongue and the heel tab at first glance. But there might be more subtle changes to the shape. You might have to do your own compare and contrast to see if this is the case.

Outside of that, the Gazelle here is made from a 'plush hairy suede' and complete with a leather lining, the nylon tongue, a rubber outsole, white contrasting detailing and gold branding to the side. Like most of the best Adidas, it is a shoe that actually works because of the insufficient added detail.

A great all-rounder along with a timeless design, they come within the green because along with a pink if that's your shade. Whatever colour you want, the shoes retail for lb89.95 directly from the Adidas website.
