1960s Adidas Basket Profi basketball shoes return

Shoes or boot? I am not sure. I'll just state that the 1960s Adidas Basket Profi basketball shoes are going back to the racks.

Not the very first time. That briefly reappeared back in 2012 following a considerable break. Considerable because this old school basketball shoe first appeared in 1969. An inferior break because the reissue, but it's eight years because this one was available to buy new.

It's something of a minor classic as well. A trademark Adidas shoe of the past, but a far more substantial one, while you expect of the basketball shoe. Mid-cut may be the official description of the one I think.

Adidas has gone to town with this reissue too, bringing back four old school shades that work well with this vintage style. You can see all of them around the page here, with all of available to buy at this time.

As for the style, they all have a suede upper, textile lining, rubber outsole which mid-cut shape, with the three stripes quietly, a contrast heel, indentations towards the toe and side plus gold branding also to along side it. Everything you would expect of the vintage Adidas design.

Fancy a pair? As far as I can tell, this 1960s design is just available from Adidas to date, having a pair selling for lb69.95. They might appear at other retailers over the coming weeks, however the price is apt to be pretty much the same wherever you look for them.
