Adidas Rom City Series trainers go back to the shelves

Another limited edition Adidas reissue, using the Adidas Rom City Series trainers back in the shops this week.

The Rom isn't as rare as a few of the City Series shoes. Actually, it had been reissued even as 2012. I only say recently, but that was seven years back now! But you get my point. You may well come with an old pair at the back of the wardrobe or cupboard.

If you do not, good news as these are out this week and across numerous retailers instead of being exclusive to just one. Which means you should be able to get some if you would like one. After all, there have been lots of the Brussels available, with some of these still available for sale now.

The Rom has been doing the rounds as far back as the 1960s, but the version we tend to know is the one in the 1970s, the version this reissue is dependant on.

Created being an all-round training shoe back in the day, the Rom is best considered to be an EVA rubber sole unit along with a gum outsole plus some chunky grips on the sole for additional traction.

The upper is normal Adidas from the era, so a leather finish, contrasting leather stripes, suede overlays and also the gold foil branding aside with the Rom name. Adidas logos on the tongue and heel finish things off.

For an additional period touch, check out the textured vintage style tongue and the classic white and blue colourway.

The prices are likely to be identical to the Brussels, so save around lb89. The good thing is they land around payday, with availability from 11pm on Friday 1st March 2022.

Demand is likely to be high, but as I said, there must be plenty of stock to go round if you act rapidly. Retailers with stock include the Adidas official store, End Clothing, Size? or Hip Store to name just a couple.
