Celery juice is within. It appears as though nearly everyone has tried – or at best heard about – celery juice. The green elixir receives a large amount of credit because of its health benefits. One could even express it gets a little too much credit.

Do a fast Search and you will find claims that the juice heals everything from cancer to autoimmune disease. Like many wellness trends that make their rounds online, its benefits really are a tad inflated. And based on the Cleveland Clinic, you're better off adding an intact stalk of celery (in most its fibrous glory) to a larger meal along with other vegetables. This way, you reap the benefits of the fiber.

So does which means that juicing celery isn't good for you personally? Nope. The juice has elevated levels of nutrients like potassium and vitamin K, and it is filled with antioxidants. If you enjoy juice as part of your morning routine – or just want to add a few chunks of celery for an existing juice recipe – do it now.

Personally, I enjoy juicing celery alone or with a few other vegetables, particularly those I tend to do not eat (looking at you, carrots). I do not juice like a meal replacement. Rather, I prepare a green drink for a boost of nutrients first thing each morning.

Because I do not own a juicer – and since I've heard juicers can be a pain to wash – I've found a method to make my green drinks only using a blender along with a nut-milk bag (aka a cloth strainer). To start, I liquify my celery in a blender, then I strain the pulp using the nut-milk bag. The entire process takes fewer than 10 minutes (I typically whip it up while my coffee brews or my oats cook), and also the cleanup is simple: I simply wash my blender, rinse the bag, then set both to dry. Easy. Here's the best way to do it yourself.

How to Juice Celery Utilizing a Blender

What You'll Need

Blender

Celery (or another veggie of your choosing)

Nut-milk bag

Directions

Start with the addition of about 4 ounces of water for your blender.

Cut your celery stalks into small chunks and add them in.

Blend until the mixture is liquified (or close to it, depending on the power your blender).

Place your nut-milk bag inside a large glass (I prefer a sizable, ceramic measuring cup for easy pouring) and add the celery mixture to the bag.

Finally, strain (Pro Tip: Do this part within the sink to prevent a mess).
